The main highways are mostly clean, but the smaller highways are very snowy. It is snowing in many places and there are still surface blizzards. The air temperature is -4..-9°C. On the mainland, the east wind blows, on the islands the north and north-west wind is wind 3-9, with gusts up to 14 m/s.
According to the forecast, there will be a chance of rain everywhere during the day and there will be gusty winds at times. There will be gusts of wind and temperatures will remain in the sub-zero range. There is a very high risk of slippage on the roads, according to the Transport Board.
The Transport Board established a special maintenance regime due to severe weather conditions on national roads from 12.12.2022 at 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on 13.12.2022 due to heavy snowfall and wind. The required condition level of the roads is not guaranteed everywhere.
