The eighth Open Farm Day is held on the 23rd and 24th of July with the highest attendance rate to date.
Open Farm Day is an event where 313 farms all over the country open their doors to welcome visitors.
The Open Farm Day is to introduce everyday farming life and methods. Most of all - bring people out from towns and cities to breathe in the fresh air of the countryside.
Have you ever wondered how local products end up on supermarket shelves or wanted to know how the cattle live on the fields or how it is to ride a tractor? You can get your answers in the event. So head out to Open Farm Day and enjoy.
The participating farms have each their niche and activities planned out throughout both days. You can pet the farm animals, get familiar with food production and learn first-hand everything you want to know about farming.
When visiting, though, remember to equip yourself with waterproof clothing, a good mood, and positive energy.
Oh, and a tip to remember - don’t forget the mosquito repellent!
