Estonia's one and only food film festival brings gastronomic film experiences for the fourth time this year. Festival takes place from September 15 to 18 at kino "Sõprus".

Before each festival the festival team selects and reviews a hundred documentaries in order to bring a dozen and only the best ones to the cinema audience. In cooperation with ETV2, high-quality movies that do not fit into the schedule will reach film lovers via television.

The opening film of the festival is the documentary "The Pursuit of Perfection" by Japanese director Toshimichi Saito, which focuses on four renowned Japanese chefs and explores what lies behind Japan's unique and high-quality food culture.

“Nordic by Nature - Michelin Stars II” is filmed in the Faroe Islands - an ancient microcosmos of exciting products, Nordic history, tales, 37 words for fog and even more for fermentation, a thriving seafood industry, ravishing waterfalls, eccentric personalities, a native tongue - and then they have the culinary pearl, KOKS. “Reinventing Mirazur” showcases the life of Chef Mauro Colagreco, who finds himself changing everything about his flagship restaurant Mirazur after the COVID-19 pandemic halted his rise to prominence.

“Man in the Field” tells a story about the extraordinary and pioneering American multimedia artist and chef Jim Denevan. In a large-scale, inimitable and unique art form, Jim Denevan has found a way to overcome and overcome the mental illness that has crept deep into his family.

“Chiliheads, fous de piments forts” tries to find answers to what is this peculiar love story between humans and chili peppers? A twisted tale of warmth until you burn.

Most of the movies are in English or have English subtitles.
