For a first time Estonians made a huge puzzle. What could be more appropriate for this than mushrooms!
Photo is made by hobby-photographer Egle Haidak, printed in well-known puzzle oriented Trefli factory. Size of the puzzle is 683×480mm, it contains 1000 pieces. Nuti-grupp usually produces cross-words and sudokus.
Estonians have a habit to pick wild mushrooms, usually during late summer and autumn. Favourite forest mushrooms are chanterelles, different milk mushrooms and boletus. More dedicated mushroom fans can pick wild mushrooms during all four seasons, even in winter.
There is no charge on picking mushrooms on state forest areas. Just make sure that you have fully charged mobile phone with you, firstly, for making pictures, but mainly in case you get lost. Several people get lost in forests every year, while picking wild berries or mushrooms. Just yesterday there was a rescue mission to bring out two lost men, who went to pick cranberries. They are alive and in good health.
If you want to go picking wild mushrooms, try to find a local person as a guide, although Estonians do not reveal their best mushroom picking places easily.
In 2012, director Toomas Hussar made a comedy "Mushrooming". To get some idea, how important mushrooming is for Estonians, you can watch the movie (it has English subtitles) here: https://netikino.ee/seenelkaik?lang=en
